Bravo Scotland, you’ve just become the 58th country to completely ban all corporal punishment of children – at home, at school, everywhere! You have joined Ireland and New Zealand, in becoming just the 3rd mostly English-speaking nation to have done so.
With 55 more nations committed to this change, I think we can safely say this: “to strike a child constitutes an act of domestic violence” – and this idea is now NORMAL. It’s a brave new world!
